Your Mustang a star in miniature?

OK, now what am I saying?

Johnny Lightning diecast miniature cars in 1:64 scale are widely collected, and well-known for their detail and accuracy. Many of our series are done by including a color collector's photocard on the package, the model car then being a replica of the car pictured. This has been an extremely popular series of programs for Johnny Lightning, and now, your car could have the opportunity to become a star.

Our Your Car Is The Star Program is one way we come up with images of cars for consideration for inclusion in a photocard program. These photo's are those taken by the car owner him/herself, and if the quality of the image is there, and the color of the car fits into an upcoming program, we then contact the car owner for permission to use that picture, and go on to make sure the casting is painted and detailed to replicate the car in the photo. Payment is made upon selection, in the form of 12 samples of the production piece to the car owner, and the opportunity to purchase more of that car at a substantial discount from retail.

We currently are in need of images of Mustangs, for the upcoming release of our 4th series of Mustangs, which is to reach the retail marketplace in July 2004. Here's the list of the cars for which we need images. Please note that while this list does tell the color of car we'd really like to see, we'll certainly entertain any and all good color pics!

1965 Convertible in Springtime Yellow (black raised top would be nice)

1971 Mach 1 in Grabber Lime (prefer no spoiler, but if your's has one, don't shy away!)

1970 Shelby GT-350 or GT-500 Fastback, Dark Bright Aqua Metallic

2000 Convertible, Performance Red (but we will consider any red 2000 Mustang convertible!)

Of course, I know it may be hard for us to find these cars in these colors, so feel free to send anything you might have taken of your car for our consideration. Be advised that we do not use any images without arranging your permission to do so.

Do these have to be professional photo's? Well, it might be nice to have them, but good clear, sharp images taken in fairly simple surroundings work very well. We can use digital photo's if they are 300dpi for good reproduction, and in fact we really like them!

For further information about Your Car Is The Star, to to
web page and check out the Johnny Lightning section, for YCITS information.

You can send any images you'd like for consideration to or to:
