can you give us more info? i assume your fan is working so next question is did you check the heater core? if it's not leaking check the hoses going to your heater core to find out if they are heating up. if not the chances are that you might have a bad t-stat (wich you can test which i do when i have to get them from autozone) or your water pump might be on the way out.

btw it might take someone a while to post since we might be working on our own cars as well

hope this helps

Hey thanks for the reply...Here is what i came up with so far.... 1. Motor is heating up fine, but the heater core lines are not getting that hot. So im going to flush the core...
2. I put a 197 t-stat in, but doesn't go past 160, So i am going to change the sending unit.

Thanks for your help....

if your lines going to the heater core are not getting hot, then it sounds like it's not getting any flow, when was your water pump changed last? And why did you go with a 197? I wouldn't put anything higher than a 180 in my car.

Im not sure when the water pump was changed last. I just picked up the car a few months ago....I went with factory specs on the 197, Should i go with a 180?....thanks for the reply....

i use a 180 the keep things cooler, espicially on the long summer trips. but i also live in the south where it gets a little warn in the summer, and my temp guage barely moves once it warms up.
