Electrical Problems

My 66/200-6 mustang has been suffering from electrical problems FOR YEARS. It used to eat solinoids. Then after I had the engine/transmission rebuilt a few years ago, it started running itself out of electrical power about every 2 weeks. I had the body restored and the guy who did the work DID NOT replace the wiring harness, (!$%#@) although he did replace all the light kits and their wiring. It runs great and when I got it back from the restoration all the interior lights worked, etc. but now they don't and the headlights are very dim. The instrument lights are so dim I can't see the gauges at night and I'm thinking it's running it's own battery down AGAIN. Has anyone else had this?
