Hi community

Hi all.
My name is Eddy, I'm from Cleveland.
My plan is to do some of the rust https://10carbest.com/best-rust-converters treatment on my truck before I send it to the body guy. I have small areas of surface rust under paint just showing as blisters. My plan is to
1. Sand area to clean metal
2.Treat rust with rust mort. let treated area cure for 24 hrs.
3. Clean with wet cloth and use scotch pad on die grinder to clean pitted area again and retreat, as many times as need to be clean metal.
4.Clean area with metal prep and coat with a etching primer.
As I said my goal is to save shop time$$$$ and do the rust killing myself. Am I on the wright track?? Any suggestions???
I read the forums and there are so many ways to do this. I hope this will work it looks like there are so many different ways to perform this procedure.
How important is it to clean painted surface before I sand paint off??? And is a strong dish soap good enough to do the job??
Welcome Eddy, how do you doing?
