problems with my ar

« Thread started on: Jul 17st, 2003, 3:55pm »

I recently bought a 1989 4cyl mustang. i pulled the 4cyl out and put a v8 carb. HO 302 in it. I also had to pull the electronic distributor out and put a points distributor in. I completly pulled out the computer so i need to know how to wire my coil. I had it wired to a ignition wire but it overheated and blew up so i tried an old one thinking the other was bad but it did the same so what do i do. If anyone knows please email me at mailto:Jjeeffrroo133@yahoo.com

if you went through the trouble to swap in a v8, you might as well go with a new ignition system (like the MSD 6AL). They work great and is easy enough to hookup (the average village idiot could do it) so you shouldn't have any problems. And you will love the performance that comes with it.
