RPMs

« Thread started on: Aug 22nd, 2003, 1:53pm »
Hi, I have a 2000 Mustang V6 w/manual transmission. I cannot, under any circumstances, run the engine past 3000 RPMs. I've heard about people removing computer chips that regulate such things as RPMs. Is there such a thing? Does anyone know if there is one on the 2000 cars? If so, Would I damage the engine if I removed it?

Any information would be much appreciated.
