According to the Mustang Field Guide,by Brad Bowling,production numbers for 1968 were as follows: Hard top coupe-249,447
Fastback coupe-42,325
convertible- 25,376
As for GT;s There were 17,458 made in 1968
The engine option numbers are not given as to how many of what engine were installed in which body style.Kevin Marty,The Marty Report guy may have that information. & Martyautoworks.com
