Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords has posted a review of the 2005 Roush Stage 2. Here's an excerpt:

When the Torch Red Roush Stage 2 tester arrived on our doorstep, we were almost burned by the intensity of the heat. With only 45 miles on the clock, it stood boldly with the authority of a heavyweight fighter. We didn't get out of the MM&FF lot before eyes popped and questions flew our way.

The Le Mans stripes flowed over the race car-like skin. The body's low stance is the way all Mustangs should sit (not on their tippy-toes as they come from Ford). The wheel and tire combo glistened, and after cracking off the throttle a few times, we couldn't wait to turn those BFG tires in anger. This car was going 100 sitting still--it even attracted the attention of the local law. Thankfully, the officer was a car dude who simply wanted a closer look.

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords has posted a review of the Saleen S281 Supercharged. Here's an excerpt:

Regardless of which side of the fence you find yourself on, there is no such thing as a boring Saleen Mustang. These cars elicit a passionate response from all who see them. For 20 years, the company out of Irvine, California, injected plenty of excitement into Fox-based Mustangs and now it has turned its attention to the S197 model, better known as the '05 Mustang. As this is the finest, most refined, Stang ever to roll off a Ford assembly line, Saleen had its challenges, but as we all know, our friends in Dearborn have yet to build a Mustang that couldn't be improved by a wide margin. Oh, they are sporty cars to be sure, but they are not true sports cars.

Saleen makes it one. This much was evident after 10 days with the S281 Supercharged. As luck would have it, the 400hp Saleen arrived while we were sampling a pair of stock Mustang GTs, a coupe and a convertible. This put us in the enviable position of being able to directly compare the S281 to the car on which it is based. The differences were shocking, and in ways you may not have expected.

Shelby GT500 ConvertibleThe Ford Shelby GT500, one of the most anticipated and powerful cars coming in 2006, just got hotter with the announcement that a convertible version will join Ford's line-up. With more than 450-horsepower on tap from its supercharged 5.4L V-8 engine, the Shelby GT500 convertible will be the most powerful factory-built Ford Mustang convertible in history.

Carroll Shelby, the legend behind the original Shelby Mustangs, joined the Ford SVT engineering team early in the program to put his stamp of approval on the convertible version and had nothing but praise for the effort.

"Convertibles often go against the pursuit of high-performance, but not this GT500," said Shelby . "This GT500 convertible can go up against the best of them, and hold its own. It's stiff, it's fast, and I'm looking forward to cruising mine up and down the roads of Texas ."

Dodge Charger R/T Meets 2005 Mustang GT MotorTrend has a road test article comparing the 2005 Mustang GT with the 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. Here's an excerpt:

You're a Chicago hitman in San Francisco for a job. You need a car; something that looks cool and will slink you up and over (sometimes way over) those notorious hilly streets--something like the sleek coupe Phil (Bill Hickman) drove in Steve McQueen's 1968 film "Bullitt." How about checking out a black, newly minted 2006 Dodge Charger R/T? Sure, it's a four-door, but it's got 350 horsepower and comes loaded with optional Daytona R/T goodies.
