Galpin Ford Launches America's First All-Mustang Showroom
Galpin Ford reins in the horsepower of America's most iconic automotive breed - the Ford Mustang - as it opens America's first all-Mustang showroom, located at 15505 Roscoe Blvd. in North Hills, Calif.
"The Mustang has been the most emphatically embraced vehicle by auto enthusiasts from the moment it debuted," said Beau Boeckmann, the in-house chief of design for Galpin Auto Sports, and vice president of Galpin Motors. "For more than four decades it has remained the archetype of American performance, especially in Southern California."
Galpin's all-Mustang showroom officially opened on March 21 with special personal appearances by renowned racers Parnelli Jones and Steve Saleen. Jones, a former Indy 500 winner, drove a Boss 302 Mustang to the 1970 Trans-Am Championship. Saleen, a celebrated racer and specialty automotive manufacturer specializes in high-performance Mustangs. His newest creation is the Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang - a 400-hp contemporary classic that makes its debut in Grabber Orange with black stripes, mimicking Jones' title-winning car to honor his illustrious motorsports career.
In addition to the Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang, Galpin's newest facility will house a selection of Galpinized Mustangs, including Galpin Auto Sports' 390-hp custom version of the legendary Boss 302. Customers can select from Roush Performance versions, the Shelby GT500 or a classic "pony" in standard factory trim.
Last year marked the 60th anniversary of Galpin Motors, the world's largest volume Ford dealership for the 16th consecutive year. Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, Galpin is comprised of a family of quality automobile brands including Aston Martin, Ford, Jaguar, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Panoz, Saturn and Volvo.
