Retail Version of Shelby GT-H Approved
August 8 - Ford dealer principals, attending a meeting last week in Las Vegas, were introduced to the next special edition Mustang.
Automotive News is reporting that the 2007 Shelby GT will be a retail version of the GT-H incarnation built for Hertz Corporation.
Additional information is expected tomorrow in a speech from Mark Fields, Ford executive vice president and president, The Americas.
The Shelby GT-H model is a 325-HP rated production Mustang, bearing a special Hertz-corporate paint treatment, along with Shelby and Hertz badging.
The horsepower gain comes from the installation of Ford Racing's Power Pack product, by technicians at the Shelby Automobiles facility in Las Vegas, NV.
Ford has previously said that further information on the new Shelby model will be made available shortly at their Bold Moves web site.
